Melinda Crider - Mother Earth

Statement

Typically my ceramic sculptures embrace mythological or hybrid figures with a specific narrative. “Mother Earth” is my expression of my outrage concerning Global Warming and what is happening to our planet Earth.  She is wearing her crown with plastic flags and the facial features represent her sadness for man’s destruction and the melting ice caps.
The Guide series represents a spiritual mentor that helps one navigate through life’s journey. This is different for each individual depending on their personal orientation.
