Programs

The WCAGA plans programs and events that correlate with our mission of promoting, cultivating and advancing women in the arts.
 
Annual Board and Membership Meetings-The annual board of directors meeting and subsequent annual membership meeting are held in the fall to discuss business issues and future plans.
 
Educational Programs: We sponsor professional development sessions on topics such as: written communications, websites, technical sessions, and specific art media and techniques. Additionally there are lectures and presentations on the visual arts by artists, art historians and writers.
 
Networking Day: This event consists of 1-2 days of lectures, panels, and workshops on a particular theme. 
 
Art Shares: These are informal sessions for artist to bring finished artwork of work in progress to discuss with their peers. 
 
Book Salon/Discussion Group: Members meet every six to eight weeks to discuss a specific book, particular artist or art movement.
 
Studio and Gallery Tours: WCAGA arranges group visits to museums, galleries, alternative spaces and studios in the Atlanta Metro area and beyond.
 
Exhibition Opportunities (see the exhibition page for more info): We sponsor one to four exhibitions a year in art centers, galleries, colleges and other public spaces in the Metro Atlanta area and other parts of Georgia and the Southeast.

As WCAGA members can have additional Membership available in any WCA chapters through out United States, nominal fee (approx.15.00).

Monthly Newsletter: Our monthly internet-based newsletter presents information on WCAGA business, programs and exhibitions, as well as member's news and opportunities.
